As part of this effort, some states have determined that in addition to the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx), a state jurisprudence examination is also necessary. These examinations vary from state-to-state in their delivery, execution, rigor and security levels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The FSMTB has created a course development service (REACH) to assist state boards in creating and delivering a jurisprudence examination at no cost to our members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Jurisprudence examination benefits:<\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>Possible reduction in the amount of disciplinary actions<\/li>\n<li>Free development and free maintenance<\/li>\n<li>More convenient for their licensees<\/li>\n<li>States can determine content and update information<\/li>\n<li>Resource for schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Jurisprudence examinations can be used for more than a requirement for initial application.
